Insect Day at the Arboretum- July 12,2014

Join us to celebrate the 4th Annual Insect Day at the Arboretum this Saturday, July 12 from 11 am to 10 pm. We will have exhibits from insect experts around the state including the Audubon Insectarium, LSU State Arthropod Museum, The Beetle Experience, USDA Forest Service, and a Forensic Entomologist.  Primitive tool expert Andrew Barron will also be on hand to demonstrate flint-knapping. We will have a Guided Hike at 6:30 pm and when the sun goes down we will see what insects will come into our light stations around the Nature Center.

11:00 am- 5:00 pm   Exhibits and crafts

6:30 pm    Guided Hike

8:30-10:00 pm   Insect attracting light stations
