INTERPRETIVE RANGER 1 – (CRT-2011-32704-VLP )
located at Ville Platte, Louisiana.
This position is located at Chicot State Park in Ville Platte, LA. This position is in a Career Progression Group up to an Interpretive Ranger 2 level. This position may be filled as an Interpretive Ranger 1 or 2 based on the qualifications of the selected applicant. Duties: Provide interpretive talks and tours to various groups, either at a park area or off-site at any one of several sites or other park locations. Work Schedule is 9am-5pm. Must be willing and able to work weekends, holidays, overtime, travel, and drive a state vehicle, as deemed necessary. NOTE: Chicot SP is a naturalist site; therefore, this is the only qualifying substitution in lieu of a baccalaureate degree for this opening: Sub professional experience in the conservation or management of the natural environment, or in planning or participating in interpretive/ educational programs dealing with the natural environment, will substitute for the required degree on a year for year basis.
